Below are links to several pages of euphonium playing tips, euphonium fingering position charts, low brass sheet music, and euphonium play-along music clips as well as videos for the new euphonium player.
Several resources are oriented towards the student and player: history of the euphonium, choosing the right euphonium for you, tips for euphonium players and so on. Other articles and resources help the beginning tuba student, more advanced students and established players develop their mastery of the instrument and further enjoy their performance.
My mission in providing this information is to assist everyone involved and interested in Low Brass improve their musical performance, skills, and opportunities. As the euphonium is a member of the low brass family of musical instruments that encompasses the trombone, euphonium, and tuba, the links in this section focus on the trombone. But as the artistic performance of these three instruments share much common ground, you’ll find some cross-over of tips, advice, and music resources.
It is my intent to build here a comprehensive library of articles, tips, and resources for the euphonium and low brass artist, teacher, and student. If you’d like to help with this mission, send me your recommendations on the kind of material you’d like to see here. Contact me at: nbewley@woh.rr.com
